Customer Review: Denon AVR-1609 7.1 Channel Receiver
This is an awesome receiver. I have paired it up with the Mirage 5 NanoSAT speakers and a Klipsch 8in subwoofer and the sound quality is very good. For the purchase price of $204 (USD) you cannot go wrong. The only downside is the HDMI does not carry the sound - you have to use the optical connection. Not a big deal unless you need more optical inputs - then you have to upgrade to a more expensive receiver. I use this in a 13 x 22 inch bonus room so I am not sure if the power would be sufficient for larger areas. I plan to add two more Mirage speakers for the full 7.1 experience. I was able to get my Direct TV remote to control the volume pretty easily. Also commercial volume can automatically be calibrated to the level of what you are watching. This is a major plus for a reciever in this price range. Setting up the reciever requires time. Read the manual carefully and do not be in a rush. It will be worth it.
Customer Review: avr-1609 review
I am very very pleased with the Denon AVR-1609. I have nothing but good things to say. It is a budget receiver with a lot of functionality. I would definitely recommend it for the money.

Customer Review: These are a steal!
I have a dedicated home theater/videogame room with a High Def Video Projector. My last old piece of hardware was my Yamaha HTR-5730 Reciever and speakers. Heard these Polks at a friend’s house in a open area bad for sound and they amazed me. Did some research and pulled the trigger on these at slightly over two hundred dollars. THEY ARE A STEAL!

Customer Review: APC H15 great product
Bought this power conditioner after spending a lot of time researching many others. I have found this conditioner to be of great value compared to panamax and the over priced monster models. Picked the unit up for 200 bux compared to the panamax 5400 model for 500+ dollars.

Customer Review: Onkyo’s TX-SR507 - Has many of the same features as the more expensive models
I’ve never owned a A/V receiver before so I tried to do my homework before I made a purchase. The TX-SR507 has many of the same features as the more expensive models for a fraction of the price (four 1080p capable HDMI inputs and TrueHD/DTS-HD decoding). I pre-ordered and got it for $279.00 with free shipping, so the price was right too. I’ve paired it up with Polk Audio RM75’s and a Polk Audio PSW111 sub. I’m extremely pleased with the results. I use it mostly for gaming with my PS3 and watching Blu-ray movies. The Audyssey Auto Speaker Calibration with the included mic made precise set up a breeze. I doubt that you could find a better A/V receiver for that price.
Customer Review: Fantastic Replacement for HTiB
I purchased this receiver along with the Energy Take Classic system to replace my seven year old Panasonic HTiB. The improvement is remarkable, although I’m sure much of the improvement is due to the new speakers. This receiver has plenty of inputs, supports audio over HDMI, and generates clean sounding audio. Basically this is everything I need. I love that it comes in a relatively compact package.

Monster Cable MP HTS850 Home Theater PowerCenter The fact is, analog audio equipment is sensitive to a different type of noise than video, just as video is sensitive to a different type of noise than digital, and so on. In the past, manufacturers have used filters to combat the problem of noise introduced via power sources. Unfortunately, the filters were not optimized to attenuate at the different frequencies that are unique to digital, analog audio, and video realms. Products that managed to deliver truly cleaner AC power were thousands of dollars in price, out of reach for most people. Enter Head Monster Noel Lee. Customer Review: Doesn’t work
I purchased this unit on sale. I set it all up and found out the DVD didn’t work. It kept saying “no disc”. Tried the USB and it was dead, too. Put it away for a couple of days and tried again. Got no power at all. Nothing works. Totally dead. Its frustrating because it was several weeks from when I purchased it until I got it. It was refurbished so did not have a long warranty.
Customer Review: NIIICE
I’ve had this system for 1.5 yrs and it’s AWESOME for the price. Now I’ve never owned a fullblown home theater system with individual components, but you have to look at the benefits of this system:
