I shopped around for a while and found the best price here on amazon. The speakers them selfs are great. The only down side was I purchased the Titanium speakers, the sub was black. Not a hugh deal but wasnt expecting it. I have put over 200 watts through these things and the sound and bass have been great.

You never really know how one of these things works until something happens (lightning strike, etc.) so until then all I can say is that I do feel safe knowing it’s there protecting my fiance’s semi-pro music studio equipment. It’s got better specs than Monster, Powersquid, and Belkin products and a better price (especially better than Monster). I have a Monster HTS 1000 also and wish I had instead bought this Tripp Lite product. Oh well, you live (and overpay) and you learn.

the only problems i have with this remote are that it does not work with my sony cdr/cd player recorder, deck A plays cd’s and the remote works with that deck, but deck B records cd’s and the remote will not work with it. also this remote has no drivers or upgrade support for windows vista when you try to program the remote. thank goodness for my old pc that still uses windows xp. all in all im happy with my purchase.

The audio on this is ridiculous, it totally shakes my house, however…every once and a while, the picture goes blank on me, I don’t know if my player is dirty or what, but it ticks me off, and worries me, because I bought it off of Amazon, but worse comes to worse it still makes a awesome receiver to use for my sound (hooked the blue ray through it already!) This plus blue ray is incredible!

A search of the internet will quickly reveal many in the audiophile community bashing “home theater in a box” (htib) systems like this, and many of their entirely valid criticisms of such systems apply to this unit, but it has a lot of redeeming qualities too that make me overall convinced that this is a good buy for anyone whose needs match what it provides. Also it is a pretty high end htib so the sound quality will exceed what many would expect. A quick word on settings: This unit comes with a number of effects such as surround enhancement and some pre set EQ settings. Don’t use them. Maybe turn down the sub a bit and turn up the center channel, but your goal with movies is to ACCURATELY reproduce the sound as it was intended to be heard. Keep everything flat and you will hear how the movie was meant to sound. That’s how I know this is a quality htib: It sounds good with everything flat)

This is a great HDMI cable at a great price. You could spend two or three times as much and have exactly the same picture and sound. The build quality of the cable is very good - I ran mine through a wall by pulling it through with a fish tape and had no problems whatsoever. if you are thinking about buying a shorter cable, I would recommend you consider this 15′ length unless you are very sure you need a shorter cable. By the time I ran the cable back through the TV mount, down the wall, and the back I had about 6′ left to get to my device, which was just about perfect.

I have just got this product and man what a system it is. The only thing which I did not like is the size of the subwoofer which is big. The rest of the speakers packs a power punch. I have got a pioneer receiver as a combination and the sound is fantastic. Also to give you an idea my room is in the dimension of 16 ft by 12 ft. If you are looking for a product which is small in size this would not be an ideal speaker system. What it lacks in compactness it compensates in performance.

Customer Review: Works as you would expect
I have this running over my Onkyo SR805, and it lowered the internal temperature of the unit by 20 degrees F. The entertainment center is not well ventilated, so this was a must buy. It made a hot unit warm to the touch. I do agree that the unit doesn’t need the LED on the front, I plan on covering this with black electrical tape.
