Onkyo SKS-HT750B 7.1 Channel Speaker System for Home Theater The missing piece to your home theater puzzle is this 7.1-channel speaker package from Onkyo. The perfect addition to your DVD player and home theater receiver, the SKS-HT750 provides all the speakers you need to enter the all-enveloping world of surround sound. 110W output, 2-way acoustic-suspension front, center and surround speakers provide the soundstage. The earth-shaking 230W powered subwoofer provides the impact. All together provide an astounding, precise and pleasurable cinema experience in your home.
All 6 surround and 1 center channel speakers are 2-way acoustic suspension and have one 3-1/8″ and one 1″ driver. They are designed for use with home-theater amps/receivers that deliver 110 Watts per channel RMS. Their rated frequency response is 60 Hz to 50,000Hz.
The subwoofer is independently powered with an integrated 230 watt amplifier. It has a 10″ driver that delivers a frequency response of 25Hz to 150Hz.
When considering a home-theater speaker system, it is crucial that all the speakers of your surround system are perfectly matched. It helps eliminate any colorization that might occur in sound delivery. It also permits accurate reproduction throughout the sonic range. All things considered, this Onkyo SKS-HT750B 7.1 channel speaker system is a great companion to your home-theater receiver, your new HDTV, and your video players. They are an integral part of your home-theater system, and a reasonable investment too.
Customer Review: Fantastic
I have just got this product and man what a system it is. The only thing which I did not like is the size of the subwoofer which is big. The rest of the speakers packs a power punch. I have got a pioneer receiver as a combination and the sound is fantastic. Also to give you an idea my room is in the dimension of 16 ft by 12 ft. If you are looking for a product which is small in size this would not be an ideal speaker system. What it lacks in compactness it compensates in performance.

Customer Review: Every feature you could ask for!
This receiver has every modern decoding ability available on physical media. For the price I think it a fantastic bargain. I replaced my Denon AVR 5700 with this unit in order to gain the new HD DD and DTS as well as more capable video switching —– and to my ears - cannot tell a difference in sound quality. The only qualm I have about this unit is it does run hot. The Denon rarely got warm, but this receiver gets hot, even out in open air. I would strongly recommend against putting this receiver in a closed off AV cabinet. For the money - fantastic bargain.

Customer Review: Onkyo TX-SR 705 A/V receiver
I am extremely satisfied with the Onkyo TX-SR 705 A/V receiver. When coupled with the Onkyo SKS-HT240 surround speakers the overall quality and user experience are excellent. The installation and setup were aided by excellent diagrams and color-coding and the remote control exceeded my expectations for being able to program all the peripherals under the single Onkyo remote control. My only complaint is that the organization of the user manual is somewhat less than logical and has a tendency to confuse and side-track. I have no regrets about my purchase

Customer Review: Great receiver
bought this receiver Onkyo TX-SR304 to replace my bose which died.Sounds better than my bose and goes alot louder than the bose.have 3 bose speakers in front the small ones for left right and center. And two small RCA speakers for the rear and a Velodyne VRP 1000 Series powered subwoofer.Just wanted the system for suround sound movies and music sounds great for 150.00 bucks and 120.00 for the powered sub.payed 1500.00 for the bose and lasted only 7 years.Better to put a system together than buy a box system.

Customer Review: Good low-end
Well built hardware. I was surprised with the bass output from the front surround speakers. I thought that my bass would eminate solely from the subwoofer, but that is not the case. I would note that the efficiency of these speakers leaves a little to be desired. I’m powering them with a Yamaha RX-V663 (95W x 7) and I find that some input sources require my Yamaha to really push itself to obtain a desired sound level.

Customer Review: Needs a better FM receiver
I have this receiver hooked up to a 7.1 surround system, and it works great. I used the included microphone to automatically adjust the speaker volume levels but, I didn’t quite agree with the chosen levels, so I manually went in and adjusted them. I would have given this receiver five stars, except for the fact that the FM receiver doesn’t pick up anything but extremely close stations. I live approximately 50 miles from most major stations, but to have several FM receivers that can pick up the FM stations very well. The only way this receiver will work for listening to FM stations will be if I hook it to an external antenna.

Customer Review: dissapointed
I was disappointed in the fact that the audio is not being transmitted to the receiver through the hdmi cables. It requires seperate cables for digital audio to be processed, although it processes audio through hdmi to my hdtv???. When I hooked up my upconvert dvd player through the receiver, I receive an error message on some dvd’s that it’s format is not supported by the receiver. So in essence, I cannot even use the hdmi ports on the receiver, the video goes straight to the tv and I use coax cables to the receiver. I also experience an audio “drop out” that Onkyo’s website, if I remember right, refers to as a problem that they are working on with Dolby… On a positive side, I really like the auto speaker configuration, and the sound of the unit is good..The price was extremely good.

Onkyo HT-SR700 5.1 Home Theater Entertainment System The trade-off between home theater packages and separate components is essentially an issue of quality. The market is overflowing with cookie-cutter packages straight off the assembly line. These packages are an amalgam of cost-cutting reductions from the amplification stage right through to the speaker cones. Taking a different tack, Onkyo has drawn from the strength of its stand-alone A/V receiver line-up to drive the HT-SR700 5.1-channel receiver/speaker package. Stripping down to the essentials ? video switching capabilities and HDTV connectivity; circuitry that preserves audio signal purity; and ease-of-setup and straightforward operability ? the HT-SR700 is cost-effective for the user, not cost-sensitive to the manufacturer.
Customer Review: Great sound
You cant compare the sound you get out of this system especially in this price range. Great unit many inputs and a good mellow sub woofer, fills the room at half volume.

Customer Review: this is one HOT receiver!
i almost bought the tx-sr605, but i heard about the “new” 2008 model coming in, so i waited a few weeks for this one, and i have to say i’m VERY satisfied! i’ll be honest in that i haven’t used it to its full capabilities, but everything i have tried works great. the only minor complaint is probably similar to a lot of other people - this unit gets HOT! it gets so hot that the temperature in my entire bedroom rises about 5-10 degrees if i play PS3 for a couple hours. (fyi - i have this receiver hooked up to a sony 40″ lcd, ps3, and comcast cable box w/ hd.) except for that minor issue, everything is fantastic and i’d highly recommend to anyone who’s thinking of purchasing one.

Customer Review: Very nice A/V receiver
I bought the TX-SR875 to replace a Denon AVR-5700 which was their top of the line 7-8 years ago. Although CE products are always dropping in price I wasn’t sure that this receiver could replace the Denon although it had the Reon chip. I was wrong. At half the retail price of the Denon this thing is great. I didn’t give it 5 stars mainly because the remote is good, but not great.
